Parents & Alumni are vital constituents for the BGSU Greek Community!

We strive to keep both constituents up to date on Greek issues and events on a regular basis through our two newsletters (Parents and Alumni) each semester.

Parents:

Each semester Greek Affairs mails a newsletter to the parents of the 1,700 fraternity and sorority members at BGSU.

Spring 2007 Parents Newsletter

During summer orientation, a Greek house is on tour for parents to see where their students might potentially live if they choose to join a fraternity or sorority with housing on the BGSU campus.

Many chapters host Parents Days during the fall and spring semesters.

Parents may also want to look at the semesterly Greek Report, which evaluates how well chapters adhere to the founding values of Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Brotherhood/Sisterhood. These reports can be found under Greek Reports.

Parents might also be interested in awards that their student's chapter might have won. These can be found under the Awards section.

Finally, for the latest Greek events, parents might want to look at the Greek Calendar.

We hope that these resources provide parents with the knowledge they need to assist their students.

Alumni:

Greek Affairs produces an electronic alumni newsletter that is sent to all BGSU Greek Alumni (22,000) with an email address on file with the BGSU Alumni Office.
